WECC invites you to join us at our upcoming Reliability & Security Workshop on October 27-28 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Gain essential insights into the Western Interconnection at this two-day event, which will cover risk-based content designed to tackle the challenges our industry faces daily. Whether you are new to oversight practices, or are a seasoned expert, there will be sessions catered to your level and interests. Workshop Format:Tuesday, October 27: Kick off the workshop with our plenary sessions that will offer insights into WECC’s perspectives, processes, expectations and how to apply that knowledge for your entity’s reliability and compliance programs. Topics include effective implementation of standards, how entity behavior influences enforcement discretion, WECC’s perspective on third-party services, and more. Wednesday, October 28: The workshop continues with three themed tracks on day two. You can choose which sessions you attend. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Use the agenda feature in Whova to plan your day. WECC Essentials: Topics include upcoming standards priorities, internal control maturity self-assessments, self-logging, and other program-focused sessions. Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP): Topics include virtualization, controlling physical access, baseline configurations, and other relevant CIP subjects. Operations & Planning (O&P): Topics include cold weather generator outage and duration trends, time-based requirements obligations, inverter-based resource guidance, ambient adjusted ratings and further O&P areas of interest.
