Reliability Planning & Performance Analysis

WECC conducts studies and assessments to ensure the reliable planning and operation of the Bulk Electric System in the Western Interconnection. We proactively identify future transmission system needs across various potential energy futures, providing essential insights for long-term planning. Our work includes collecting and disseminating load and resource data, directing studies to assess resource adequacy within the Western Interconnection, and addressing loads and resources activities in coordination with NERC.
