The WECC-0157 Drafting Team has put together the draft Implementation Plan for the Updates to the WECC Regional Variance in the NERC Standard PRC-006-5. Ultimately the language that the Drafting Team decided on is that the proposed effective date would be the “First day of the first quarter following applicable regulatory approval.”
When the WECC variance to PRC-006 was developed, Requirement R15 language of the NERC Standard that directed Corrective Action Plans to be developed was left out. The update and inclusion of the R15 language in the Regional Variance allows the appropriate entities to collaborate on opportunities to provide effective remediation activities in a timely manner if there are deficiencies noted within an UFLS assessment activity. The goal was to consider how to incorporate the nation-wide Requirement R15 into the WECC Variance that will allow effective mitigation of a UFLS assessment not meeting performance criteria within the WECC Interconnection.Standards Document
