You're invited to a three-day Reliability Fundamentals Workshop to be held June 23–25, 2026, at the WECC office in Salt Lake City. This workshop is designed especially for registered entity staff who play role in compliance, risk management, or reliability for your organization. By bringing together the core components of the compliance program into a single, structured experience, the workshop establishes clear expectations, reinforces risk management obligations, and delivers relevant guidance for registered entity teams.

Workshop Description:

This three-day workshop equips registered entities with the knowledge and practical frameworks needed to build and maintain an effective NERC compliance program aligned with the mission of electric reliability. The workshop integrates mission, governance, standards applicability, organizational risk management, internal controls, monitoring activities, issue-response protocols, enforcement transparency, and a culture of reliability in a cohesive learning experience. The curriculum expounds on all these points in alignment with NERC guidance, practices, and instructions; WECC’s risk-based oversight model; and industry best practices for well-designed and implemented compliance programs.

Day One: Mission, Governance, and Standards Applicability

Day Two: Reliability Risk Architecture and Organizational Risk Management

Day Three: Monitoring, Issue Response, and Enforcement

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is ideal for staff from newly registered IBR entities and newcomers to all registered functions, as well as those responsible for compliance, risk management, or internal controls at registered entities.

In-person space is limited and priority will be given to newly registered entities.
