Announcements

  • On September 17, 2025, the WECC Board of Directors (Board) approved amendments to the WECC Bylaws.

These amendments were developed by the Governance Committee Section 4.9 Work Group, which included representatives of the Member Advisory Committee (MAC) and Western Interconnection Regional Advisory Body (WIRAB). All WECC Members were also given opportunities to participate during the public meetings and to comment on the proposed amendments.

Section 12.1.1 of the WECC Bylaws also requires that WECC Members vote to approve amendments to the following Sections: Sections 1.1 and 1.2; Section 4.2; Sections 6.2 through 6.8, inclusive; Section 7.2; Section 8; Section 10; Sections 12.1 through 12.4.

A summary of the changes made to these sections can be found here. A redline of all changes and a clean version can be found here.

Section 12.4 of the WECC Bylaws requires that proposed amendments be noticed to Members at least 30 days before the beginning of balloting. WECC Members will then be asked to vote for the approval of the amendments to these sections, with ballots expected to open on November 3, 2025. Voting on these amendments will be done on all the amendments as a whole (as opposed to each section or amendment individually). Consistent with Section 12.4, voting will be done remotely by electronic ballot.
