We can also study the demand at risk or EUE after imports from other subregions. The same charts from the EUE section are shown here, but this time we compare the demand at risk before imports with the demand at risk after imports. By selecting CAMX, for example, you will see the 2.5 million MWh at risk that we saw in 2020 has dropped to 80,000.
All areas can alleviate risk in the system through transfers, except a few hours in the CAMX area beginning in 2020, and growing over the next 10 years.
Clicking a region on the map will change the charts to show that area's information. Clicking the same area again will switch the charts back to the overall Western Interconnection results.
